We are seeking a compassionate and resilient indivuduals to join our team as a SEMH Secondary School Staff member. Our client is an independent specialist provision that provides quality and personalised education for young people ranging from ages 11 to 16 with on-going social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors and SEMH needs. As a preferred male role model, you will play a crucial part in mentoring and supporting our students, helping them to develop positive behaviours and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1-1/2-1/3-1 and group support to students with SEMH needs
Assist in the development and delivery of tailored educational programs
Create a safe and nurturing environment for learning and personal growth
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress
Participate in regular training and professional development opportunitiesRequirements:
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Ability to build positive relationships with students
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
