Salary: Up to £27k + Bonus (monthly and yearly)
A permanent position has become available for a Finance Assistant my client a fantastic SME Media Publishing business specialising in luxury travel. The company, based in North West London, creates a series of magazines, newspapers, digital platforms and websites. With a global client base and a friendly, experienced and engaging team. This is a great opportunity to work and develop your skills in a fast growing and busy environment, in addition to working with a friendly, creative and supportive team.
The Role as Finance Assistant:
The role involves working closely with the AR, AP and credit control teams and reporting into the Finance Director. The person will be responsible for assisting in ensuring sales invoices/ journals are correctly generated, posted and dispatched, assisting with checking sales teams’ monthly commission and sourcing EU VAT numbers & charity exemption forms/ certificates, send out labels for publications, sending out AP invoices for approval & coding AP invoices, posting AP invoices, staff expenses and potentially cash book postings. Credit checking clients, populating Vendor forms, telephone chasing of client debts and providing an important support function to the Sales and Finance teams.
The role will include maintaining correct & auditable records of transactions (Sage 200 accounting package). You could potentially provide accurate feedback on queries and VAT issues.
This Finance Assistant position requires someone who is:
* A team player, eager to learn, develop, and able to take ownership of sections across the Finance Department
* Enthusiastic, hard-working, results driven, accurate and must have a can-do attitude
* Confident and out-going. Inquisitive nature, organised and able to prioritise their workload
* Possess good written, oral communication skills and excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to deal with staff at all levels
* The ideal candidate will have proven Finance/ Accounts Assistant experience and have the ability to join the business and carry out the role with confidence and ability.
* This is an office-based role (with potential for Hybrid working after successfully completing probation period)
