One of the North West’s leading disability charities is looking for a Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) to join the team. Along with a salary of £27,590 per annum, you will also receive a range of benefits including 25% uplift on weekend hours, fully funded training and development opportunities, 27 days holiday + Bank Holidays increasing with time, 7% employer pension contributions and access to mental health first aiders. 
This role is integral to the leadership and management of the new intervention hub. This is a day service working with family and children who are on the cusp of going into residential care. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and working directly with children and young people to foster a positive and safe living environments. 
As Senior Community Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include: 
Leading and managing a team of residential support workers, providing guidance, supervision, and support.
Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
Working in the community with children and young people and their families
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Promoting positive relationships with children, their families, and external agencies.
Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
Handling administrative tasks, including record-keeping, report writing, and scheduling.
Addressing and resolving any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Working closely with the management team to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
We’re looking for a Senior Community Support Worker with:
Previous experience working in a residential care setting for children. Experience working with children with emotional and complex needs or challenging behaviours.
Positive behaviour support experience
NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
Clean Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to undergo one).
Full UK clean driving license
Access to a vehicle is desirable
