Financial Controller

Duties Include but are not limited to:
Preparing P&L statements and monthly closing and accounting reports
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts
Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting procedures
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy
Prepare and analyse reporting information for budget, revenue, expense, payroll, cost, variances and more
Analyse revenue and expenditure trends
Resolve accounting discrepancies
Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases and accounts software systems
Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports
Interact with internal and external audits and auditing queries
Develop the annual operating budget
Provide accounting policy orientation
Manage and supervise finance staff and provide necessary training sessions
Compile weekly KPIs
Control cashflow short and long term
Select and authorise payments for AP in line with cashflow and payment terms
Compile and reconcile VAT returns
Payroll duties
The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience in a similar position
Be Qualified, minimum AAT.
Have an excellent understanding of General Accounting Principles
Have meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Have a proactive can-do attitude and not be afraid to get stuck in and take on any task
