What Are We Looking For?


Our in-house Design team is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our team. You will provide input to all aspects of projects from design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards. As well as being responsible for design deliverables, from scoping and detailed design right through to delivery, you will also ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on the quality of delivery.


As part of a multi-discipline project team, some of your key duties include:


  • Meeting with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
  • Developing design deliverables from concept to detailed design.
  • Carry out the planning and implementation of the project design.
  • Providing technical guidance on civil engineering matters to the wider project team.
  • Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
  • Develop design deliverables.
  • Complete checking and approval processes.
  • Assemble contract works information documents.
  • Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
  • Implement project change control and programme requirements.
  • Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.


What Do You Need?


  • Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of British and European design standards
  • Demonstrable experience as a Civil Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
