I have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to join a reputable housing business with ambitions to deliver circa 250 quality homes and communities per year across Cornwall.

Reporting to the head of department you will take the lead on managing multiple projects from design through to completion and aftercare, ensuring homes are built to a high-quality standard and health and safely requirement, within budget and timescales with excellent customer satisfaction.

You will be accountable for detailed design, procurement, and construction with a supporting role in acquisition, planning then sales/lettings and aftercare.

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering residential projects, strong section agreement knowledge, 278, 38 and 104. Up to date building regulation knowledge including BNG.

Skills and attributes needed:nProven background in the housebuilding/construction sector in a similar rolenAccustomed to running/managing major projectsnFull project life cycle experience including: development, design, logistics procurement, manufacture & assembly, commissioning and handover.nStrong leadership skillsnAccustomed to liaising with external and internal contactsnStrong stakeholder management skillsnTeam player with a ‘can do attitude’ and desire to succeednCommercial awarenessnFinancial awarenessnBuilding Regs (BNG)nContract management and negotiationnStrong business acumen in project planning and managementnDegree within construction and professional membership is desirablenIdeally you have worked on client side - employers agent or consultancy
