This role involves managing a full range of accounting services related to rented properties and payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting our managers to achieve overall business objectives.
Salary: £30,000
Hours : 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Property Entities Accounting:
* Input and validate purchase invoices.
* Manage tax payments for various property account entities and family SA.
* Prepare and present payment lists with invoices for authorization.
* Handle bank payments, cheques, and VAT returns.
* Submit applications for Options to Tax VAT as needed.
* Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
* Prepare annual property insurance renewal schedules and manage commercial tenant insurance recharges.
* Produce management accounts for quarterly meetings.
* Provide 12-month rolling cashflow reporting and predictions.
* Manage rent income records and liaise with Managing Estate agents.
* Attend quarterly meetings with Managing Estate agents.
* Upload year-end financials to external accountants and review their reports.
Payroll Management:
* Process payroll calculations and input timesheets weekly.
* Maintain average pay records and process two monthly payrolls.
* Upload payroll information to HMRC RTI and manage pension contributions.
* Distribute payslips and assist with HR administration of sickness, leavers, and starters.
* Update employees' accident & death in service scheme records.
* Manage payroll software updates and report to The Pensions Regulator as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in property accounting and payroll management.
* Strong knowledge of tax regulations and VAT processes.
* Proficiency in managing electronic and hard copy filing systems.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong communication skills for effective client and internal liaison.
