Vision for Education are looking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA to work on a full-time basis within a 'good' school in Gateshead, NE10.


About the role:


The successful HLTA will be supporting class teachers and pupils within Year 4, where some pupils have SEND and/or lower attainment.

The role may also involve leading some intervention sessions on both a small group and 1:1 basis, as well as covering PPA sessions.

This means we are looking for someone who has confidence in leading a classroom and some experience of classroom/behaviour management would be desired.

Days and hours would be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.

To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) (Full-time) you will:

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • L4 Supporting Teaching and Learning
