WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING


As Goods Receiver, working between the loading bay and basement kitchen, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing all food and beverage deliveries managing delivery notes, invoices, stock rotation and the quality of items.


THE DUTIES

  • Receive and forward all goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the correct point of contact/storage area.
  • Keep accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Identify slowmoving items to avoid overpurchasing.
  • Maintain control over stores of the hotel with respect to issue releases, control over deliveries and hotel stock counts.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place them in proper storage areas.
  • Notify managers/supervisors of low stock levels.
  • To adhere to and assist in the compliance of Health and Safety e.g. COSHH Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure all goods received are of the correct quality, quantity, and description as per the Purchase Order.
  • Ensure all Delivery Notes are signed, and time stamped by the receiver and delivery temperature is recorded as appropriate, and copies are forwarded to the finance department.

  • Preferably having worked in a similar role within the Hospitality Industry, you will have a professional and approachable manner with the ability to establish positive relations and build a rapport quickly.

  • Able to work alone and within a team.
