Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant Required

This is a fixed term contract which will last till July 2024 in the first instance and may be extended - we would like to interview quickly for an immediate start

The vacancy is for 20 hours per week pm), term time only and is only suitable for a TA with experience of/or willingness to work with SEND pupils.


The Governors of this successful and popular Catholic school wish to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking Teaching Assistant who has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour and is committed to providing the best support for pupils of all abilities but has a special interest and skill in working with children who have autism/communication/SEMH needs.

- be an excellent teaching assistant, who can motivate and inspire children
- have qualifications and/or experience managing SEND in the classroom
- have Team Teach training (or be willing to complete the course as soon as possible)
- teach an individual child (sometimes in small groups) across all aspects of the EYFS curriculum
- have high expectations of themselves and others
- show initiative and be willing to develop themselves professionally
- be flexible and willing to work in different age ranges as required
