Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Oaklands Primary School. As a key member of our SEND team, you will play a vital role in supporting our high-needs pupils and contributing to their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based interventions to support pupils with special educational needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of inclusive practices and strategies to support pupils with SEND
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C or above
  • Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions for pupils with SEND
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
