Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will be responsible for the relationship management of all new "Banking only" clients introduced by RBC BD in an efficient and timely manner, managing the day-to-day requirements of clients, addressing client enquiries and identifying potential new business opportunities for Wealth Management (WMI) and the wider RBC organization

Proactive engagement and support directly with all relevant business partners (with focus on RBCBD) to deliver a seamless client experience

What will you do?

  • Work collaboratively with Sales & Relationship Management (S&RM) and business partners across WMI to deliver a seamless and unrivalled client experience
  • Achieve a deep understanding of the client's overall needs through accurate client discovery and data collection
  • Maintain in close contact with RBC Brewin Dolphin representative to ensure a coordinated approach to all client related matters
  • Maintain close contact with clients in order to monitor and communicate changes related to client needs, information to specialist partners
  • Protect and maintain assets, identifying and escalating assets at risk as required
  • Vigilant record keeping practices, ensuring all client conversations, interactions and requests are recorded in line with policies and procedures
  • Swift execution of all client requests, in line with policies and procedures
  • Ensure all clients are established on HUB
  • Seek revenue growth and cost reduction opportunities to enhance client profitability
  • Committed adherence and execution of CMV where applicable, incorporating a deep discovery to understand client needs, objectives, priorities and background in order to demonstrate the best understanding
  • Develop the business in line with RBC strategy and any regional business guidelines as distributed from time to time
  • Create exceptional client experience by providing superior service. Demonstrates end-to- end responsibility for the clients overall banking needs
  • Provide ongoing review and update of client strategy and action plan, identifying where new business opportunities may exist and escalating them as required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience within a Wealth Management role (previous experience in a non-retail network environment will assist in ability to be effective)
  • Proven Relationship Management skills: Has an ability to understand client needs, the knowledge and communications skills to identify and articulate issues and solutions, the integrity to earn the clients trust and the business acumen to recognize mutually beneficial opportunities for the client and RBC
  • Experience working within a matrix organization – managing internal relationships and influencing partners
