Barts Assurance are the specialist in-house team responsible for delivering Internal Audit, Counter Fraud and related Investigation services to Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the largest Hospital Groups in the country.

Barts Assurance is highly regarded by senior management, and in 2023 were proud to be shortlisted by the IIA in their Public Sector "Outstanding Team" category, whilst in 2022 the team won CIPFA's national Public Finance award for "Excellence in Public Sector Audit".

In line with professional standards, if necessary, the postholder also has a right of direct access to the Trust's Audit & Risk Committee Chair.

With the retirement of our current MD, we are now looking for an experienced senior assurance professional who is keen to make a real impact and lead Barts Assurance to the next level.

You will be an ambitious Audit Director or Senior Audit Manager, with a relevant professional qualification and extensive experience in an assurance setting within the public or private sectors, including significant experience of the NHS/Healthcare sector.

Professional head of a large organisation's assurance team (responsible for internal audit, counter fraud and related advisory services) preferably in the NHS/Public Sector
