About the Role:


Angel Hill Surgery is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.


The post-holder will:

- demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.
- support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC
  • Postgraduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience
  • Postregistration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform in stressful and complex situation
  • Sound clinical reasoning & decision making
  • Flexibility Ability to inspire and lead a team

About Us:Angel Hill Surgery, situated in Bury St Edmunds, is a well established and friendly practice in the centre of the Suffolk market town. Our practice team consists of 11 GPs (some with special interests) and a dedicated and supportive clinical team including a visiting paramedic, prescribing paramedic, clinical pharmacist, nurse practitioner, five practice nurses and two HCAs. We are supported by a full management and administration team.

Our team recognises the importance of good work-life balance. We have multiple social events annually and meet daily for coffee, as part of our commitment to well-being. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and happy place to work and welcome informal visits and enquires.
