We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, committed, hardworking, flexible and solution-focused individual to join the Practice Education team.


Supporting non-medical students on their clinical placements, including Pre-registration Nursing, Occupational Therapy and other AHP and social work students, Supporting Preceptees and Preceptorship is also an aspect of the role.


Supporting placement areas to provide an excellent learning experience for Learners on placements within NSFT is an integral part of this role.

For internal applicants we can offer fixed term roles as secondments with your current managers approval. Please advise your recruitment officer if you would like to be considered for this role on a secondment basis.

The team consists of 5 x Practice Education Facilitators and 3 x Clinical Educators supported by the Education lead.

You will be well supported to develop the knowledge and experience required for this role through a supportive induction period, and will receive supervision from a senior Practice Education Facilitator.


Main duties of the job:


The post holder will provide knowledge, advice and information relating to Practice Education & Learning throughout the Trust whilst ensuring quality learning experience is available in practice.


You will seek to support students in their clinical practice areas ensuring that they receive outstanding clinical placement experience which meets both quality assurance and NMC, HCPC and HEE standards.

You will work with staff at all levels enabling them to provide support and guidance to students. This includes clinical staff, managers and liaison with staff at the HEI's.


The successful applicant will have skills to initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships, This will include working with clinical areas to ensure the compliance of high quality learning environments, aligned to the various quality standards.

The post holder would contribute to providing expert advice and support for areas focusing on NMC Practice Assessor/Supervisor standards and the learning environment

The role will be supporting teams in the West Suffolk Care Group.

Direct support to these teams will require travelling, with the opportunity of also hybrid working from home or an office base.
