Main Duties of the Job

  • Required to utilize the Model of Human Occupation for assessments and group work

Job Description

  • Provide expert OT clinical practice within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Conduct initial assessment and formulate effective care plans
  • Implement evidence-based interventions for diverse community needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team decisions for smooth transfers and discharges
  • Maintain accurate records as per professional standards
  • Manage risk effectively and involve family/care circle in care planning
  • Support staff in assessing and managing service user needs
  • Identify and support carers through assessments and care plan reviews

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Completed diploma, degree, or MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of post-registration relevant training/study

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and take on various roles
  • Establish positive relationships and maintain boundaries professionally
  • Proficient in computer usage for data entry, communication, and research

Experience/Knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex mental and physical health issues
  • Familiarity with evidence-based best practices in mental health care
  • Advanced understanding of occupational therapy assessment tools
  • Practical experience in assisting individuals with complex health and mobility challenges
