Job Title: Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective Services team, you will be responsible for providing expert occupational therapy services to patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.
  • Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists, providing guidance, supervision, and performance management to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy programs to improve patient outcomes and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Masters level or equivalent training in specialist area or evidence of significant practical experience, research, or publication in specialist area.
  • Experience in acute hospital settings, with a focus on orthopaedic trauma and elective services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
