Purpose of the role:

The Security Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the company's personnel, assets, and information.

This role involves the development and implementation of security protocols and procedures, coordinating with other departments to identify and mitigate potential risks.

The Security Coordinator also investigates security incidents, maintains accurate records, and provides regular reports to senior management on the status of the company's security program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating all administrative duties within the security department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify security needs and develop effective relationships across the business
  • Facilitate security training and education to employees and management to ensure that everyone is aware of the company's security policies and procedures.
  • In the event of a major incident, act as the silver commanders scribe ensuring all decisions are logged and disseminated to the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all securityrelated activities, including incident reports and training records.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest security technologies and trends and make recommendations to management on how to improve the company's security posture.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of the company's security program, including any incidents or breaches that have occurred and the steps taken to address them.
  • Coordinate the businesses Daily Activity Summary documents ensuring all information is accurate and up to date prior to publishing.
  • Coordinate the production of event access control requirements. Working closely with the Security Duty Managers and teams.
  • Maintain the department rostering procedure ensuring, in line with the Security Operations Managers, all staffing is booked in advance of all deployments and signed off against the relevant budget holders.
  • Support all department leads to ensure the financial administration process is completed in advance of cut off dates and in line with the relevant budgets.
  • Support the Head of Security in the creation and maintenance of all forecasted budgets.
  • Ensure the departments stationary and office management needs are supplied in a timely manner ensuring an appropriate stock is kept on site.
  • As directed by the Head of Security, ensure that all uniform stocks are kept up to date and, through coordination with the Security Duty Managers, all staff are kept supplied with serviceable uniform.
  • Operate as the departments office manager regarding liaison with other relevant departments to ensure the up keep of the space.
  • Supporting the security front of house operation when required ensuring customer services are to the highest standard. This includes working closely with the company front of house team.
  • Support the Security Management Team in drafting and investigating incidents and complaints from outside contacts, working closely with the Marketing department.
  • Supporting the Head of Security with outside agency and community meetings including the ExCeL Security Working Group and E16 South Newham Community Security Zone. This will include agenda drafts, minute taking and actions points.
  • Represent the department in all ESG meetings and ensure the department operates within these responsibilities.
  • Coordinating all internal space bookings for meetings, training and other business needs.

Experience:

  • Experience working in other similar administrative roles.
  • Security Industry experience advantageous.
  • Project management experience advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • There are no specific qualifications required for the position however, an SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence would be advantageous.
