Job Description:

  • We are seeking an OT Security Operations Coordinator who will be tasked with coordinating security operations within operational technology environment & ensuring timely incident response and efficient coordination between stakeholders.


This position will see you become part of a highly specialised cyber security team, who consistently push the boundaries of digital, technology, and automation innovation to drive a smarter, safer, and more sustainable enterprise.


Core Responsibilities (amongst others):

  • Coordinate and manage security operations for operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Collaborate with OT and IT teams to plan and execute security measures.
  • Coordinate with external cybersecurity teams and agencies during security incidents.
  • Coordinate the analysts responsible for the monitoring and use of cyber defence tools within Anglo American and De Beers OT environments globally, managing ticket and team resolutions and driving efficiency where possible.
  • Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other publications to support local teams in responding to tickets.
  • Optimise security logging tools to ensure efficiencies and reduce overheard where possible.
  • Manage, maintain and administer OT cyber defence tooling for the group; including the management of assets ensuring all devices within scope are captured within tools.
  • Develop localised incident response plans with local teams specific to OT environments.
  • Coordinating departments during incidents and establishing required work and dissemination of tasks to relevant business personnel in line with Incident Response plans.
  • Line management of OT Security Operations Analysts (OTSOA).

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent experience) in computer science, business informatics, engineering/technology or equivalent
  • Very good familiarity with network level OT security tools, endpoint detection and response, network discovery, and knowledge of programming/scripting languages can be helpful.
  • Experience of managing teams responsible for the deployment, maintenance and administration of operational technology focused security technologies and personnel.
  • Familiarity with the ISA95/98 and Purdue models for industrial IT and the typical operating practices in that engineering environment.
  • Understanding of network protocols, architectures, and components
  • Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network monitoring tools
  • Ability to configure and manage network security devices.
  • Proficiency in securing various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Knowledge of system hardening techniques, patch management, and access controls
  • Ability to monitor and analyse threat intelligence sources to identify potential risk
