This is a successful and heavily oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational, Church of England, comprehensive school of over 1750 students, serving families from the whole of greater Bristol and beyond. Located at the heart of the city they have a diverse student community with considerable parental support. The Sixth Form Centre currently houses approximately 700 students from their own school and from many other schools across the city.
Role:
- Must be experienced teaching Business Studies
- To ensure a high-quality curriculum provision and effective teaching and learning within the curriculum areas of business. In addition to carrying out the professional duties of a qualified teacher
- To consistently teach lessons which engage, challenge and support
- Ability to design teaching materials to sustain students' interest in the subject
- Interact with students, parents and faculty
- Facilitate classroom procedures
- Set culture standards for learning
- Monitor students' progress in the subject
Experience, Qualifications and Training:
- We are looking for a well-qualified leader of Business
- Must have QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
- Lead and teach business in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential). Training will be provided.

Eligibility to work in a teaching role:
- Holds Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
- Enhanced DBS certificate which is either on the online 'Update Service' or be willing to apply for a new DBS certificate
Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. As part of the shortlisting process an online search will be carried out. All appointments will be subject to vetting, including an enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply for a role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
