As a Mental Health Care Worker you will be working within a team that includes a range of professionals.

You will work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and will need to have good communication skills, excellent team working skills, be highly self-motivated with a flexible approach, and have some appreciation of mental health conditions.

To be successful as a Mental Healthcare Worker, you will need:

Our shift patterns are:

  • Days Shifts 7am to 7:30pm
  • Night Shifts 7pm to 7:30am

We pay more than NHS band 1&2 and remain competitive across all our pay bands


The Priory Hospital Preston is an independent adult mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems.

The Eating Disorders and Acute Mental Health services at the hospital work in partnership with the NHS to provide the best quality outcomes for all the patients in our care.


Opened in 1998, the hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with residential facilities for 38 patients.

Our highly experienced team includes consultant psychiatrists, accredited therapists, counsellors, nurses and support staff. We also have activities co-ordinators who offers tailored daily activities focusing on the individual needs of each patient.
