About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs, disabilities, and long-term conditions in their own home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2:1 support to the individual, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Encourage and support the individual in engaging in activities they enjoy, such as swimming, outdoor walks, and bingo.
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License (essential).
  • Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
