Head of Supply Chain

The right candidate will have strong people and team leadership skills along with a proven track record of driving improvement in manufacturing and supply chain.

Plus, be naturally good at coaching and influencing outside of direct reporting relationships and get satisfaction from being part of a high energy, results orientated leadership team.

It includes leadership of our 50 Supply Chain staff
to efficiently manage the production and supply of product to our customers and Installation and Service teams.

The role is responsible for our manufacturing facility in Hamilton, our four regional distribution hubs across the UK, purchasing, our design team, and all inventory.

Strategic and tactical leadership of our Supply Chain to build an outstanding team and drive improvement in quality, efficiency, and product delivery.

Use LEAN tools and our empowered culture to build our Supply Chain into a core strength of the UK business.

Actively contribute to improvement in field efficiency across both Service and Install.
Build, coach, mentor and develop a strong, cohesive Supply Chain team.
Optimise stock and replenishment processes to balance inventory with meeting customer needs in a demanding, project-based market.
Strategically optimise our inbound and outbound logistics and material supply chains
A high energy leader who can motivate, influence, and develop people to drive continuous improvement.
~10 Years minimum experience in relevant manufacturing and logistics operational management roles.
~ Excellent knowledge of production management, production systems, logistics and inventory management
~ Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, Visual Management, Kaizen and Six Sigma.
~ Proven track record of leading and delivering improvement projects, along with implementing change in a Production environment.
~ Strong advocate of lean manufacturing and standard operating systems
~ Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering subject.
~ Strong understanding of Excel, ERP, FSM, and other business software
~ Previous experience in aluminium, or other fabrication manufacturing a plus

Hours: 40 hours per week
Holidays: 33 days per year, including public holidays
