**Record UK - Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing**
Record UK is a UK based subsidiary of the ASSA ABLOY Group who are one of the major companies in access solutions with over 11,500 employees worldwide in more than 100 countries. Record UK are part of the Pedestrian group, who develop, manufacture, sell, install and service automatic doors solutions for people.
As the UK market leader, we design, manufacture, supply, install and service a range of automated door systems from our production facility and head office just South of Glasgow. We are proud to support a wide range of customers across the UK, including Main Contractors, Developers, specialist Façade companies and many high street names. We are seeking an outstanding Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing to join our business leadership team. The role will lead our supply chain and manufacturing teams across the UK from our Scottish head office and contribute to the ambitious growth plans we have.
**Purpose and Summary of position**:
The role reports to the Managing Director of Record UK and is a key part of the UK leadership team. It includes leadership of our 50 Supply Chain staff to efficiently manage the production and supply of product to our customers and Installation and Service teams. The role is responsible for our manufacturing facility in Hamilton, our four regional distribution hubs across the UK, purchasing, our design team, and all inventory.
**Key Tasks**
- Strategic and tactical leadership of our Supply Chain to build an outstanding team and drive improvement in quality, efficiency, and product delivery
- Use LEAN tools and our empowered culture to build our Supply Chain into a core strength of the UK business
- Work collaboratively with other members of the UK leadership team to deliver our vision and achieve our ambitious growth targets.
- Actively contribute to improvement in field efficiency across both Service and Install
- Contribute to improvement in our NPS scores through delivery of excellent customer experiences
- Build, coach, mentor and develop a strong, cohesive Supply Chain team.
- Optimise stock and replenishment processes to balance inventory with meeting customer needs in a demanding, project-based market
- Strategically optimise our inbound and outbound logistics and material supply chains
- Lead by impeccable example by walking the talk with our Record behaviours
**Essential criteria**

- A high energy leader who can motivate, influence, and develop people to drive continuous improvement
- Experience in relevant manufacturing and logistics operational management roles
- Excellent knowledge of production management, production systems, logistics and inventory management
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, Visual Management, Kaizen and Six Sigma
- Proven track record of leading and delivering improvement projects, along with implementing change in a Production environment
- High level of customer focus and business acumen. Understanding of what it takes to deliver an outstanding experience to customers
- Strong advocate of lean manufacturing and standard operating systems
- Contribute to ISO Business Management system
- High standards of health, safety, and environmental awareness
- Strong understanding of Excel, ERP, FSM, and other business software
- Previous experience in aluminium, or other fabrication manufacturing a plus
**Additional information**
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holidays: 33 days per year, including public holidays
