How will you make a difference?nAssisting with tender coordination and validation across the product line and helping to reduce costs through design and standard catalogues.
What will your typical day look like?nAs Wabtec is a global company and has multiple manufacturing and engineering sites around the world; applicants must be willing to travel internationally when required.nMaintain from a technical standpoint, the product portfolio, fulfilling the needs of OE tenders and project execution.nDevelopment/withdrawal of products and product variants according to the strategy set by the product manager.nCreation of effective documentation for products.nExecution of the necessary validations.nManagement of non-conformity applicable to the products after system engineering confirmation.nInterface Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Laboratory for procuring parts, assembling, testing, and validating prototypes.nLead the activities for reducing the cost of specific products.nPropose a yearly Margin Improvement Plan.nApply the design for assembly and testability including the concurrent design with Suppliers.nPerform Supplier Quality Assurance, design reviews, and drafting specifications for commodities and purchased articles.nProvide the validation status of the product and the list of ongoing and foreseen modifications, together with its evaluation of possible risks on the costs.nContribute to the industrialisation process and ToT.nContribute to the programming activity of the product manager (list of activities, time plan, budget, risks).nContribute to the preparation of the engineering product budget.nSupport the resolution of the quality product issue.
What do we want to know about you?nAs Wabtec is a global company and has multiple manufacturing and engineering sites around the world; applicants must be willing and enthusiastic to travel internationally when required.nEngineering experience required e.g., Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Health and Safety, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production, Quality, Design.nHND / Degree in engineering or equivalent preferred but not essentialnFully proficient with modern manufacturing methodology.nProficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.nMeticulous and detail oriented.nEfficient planning and time-management skills.nAbility to correlate information effectively.
