We are one of the largest local employers, our business is booming with year-on-year growth.ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Welding and Fabrication apprentice you will join a small team of multi skilled Fabrication professionals. You will learn from hands on experience a variety of different welding techniques including MIG, TIG and MMA. You will also be working with a wide range material as well as insight into sheet fabrication.
With guidance and support from the team you will work across our large manufacturing site, learning to use your initiative and develop your technical expertise.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
- An opportunity to undertake a Level 3 qualification in Metal Fabrication, as well as day to day learning on the job, this will involve up to 3 days a week at college.
- Starting salary of
£294 per week (increasing yearly upon completion of the apprenticeship) with college fees, including reference books and transport paid for. - We heavily invest in our apprentices with the intention of offering permanent employment following successful completion of your apprenticeship, this will give you opportunities to grow and develop your skills whilst ensuring you have exposure to a growing business who pride themselves on producing British made, sustainable products.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You must have an aptitude and interest in engineering
- You should have, or expect to have, a minimum of 5GCSEs with Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
- Ideally you will have had some work experience, but this is not essential
