A bit about the job:

This is a key role based at Aviva Investors' Head office in the City of London. The successful candidate will be a member of the Financial Reporting Team, looking after the day to day management of the outsourced service provider team to ensure that reporting deadlines are met, and month end processes are completed. You will also lead the annual statutory accounts process and coordination of audit deliverables, working to tight deadlines and closing or escalating issues raised by the external auditors, whilst leading Regulatory Reporting Process. In this varied role, the successful candidate will lead the Oversight and operation of controls, ensuring that they are adequately designed and operating effectively.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.) Good knowledge and understanding of current accounting standards, and ability to perform technical accounting research and present conclusions. Experience of assessing financial risks and designing and operating suitable controls to mitigate those risks. Accountable for the delivery of statutory and regulatory financial reporting for AI corporate entities, with a focus on overseas entities, including production of statutory accounts, management reporting and submission of regulatory returns. Strong system and spreadsheet skills (experience of Oracle, FCCS, Qliksense and Smart View an advantage).
