About the role As a Manufacturing Accountant you will be responsible for providing accurate product costs to the business and for producing clear financial information for the purpose of financial management and control.
Including:
Develop, implement and review controls to drive accurate and timely decision-making information, accounting and reporting for the Operations P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash-flow Lead KPIs, month-end reporting, forecasting and budgeting in accordance with agreed business timescales for the Operations P&L Identify, mitigate and escalate risks and opportunities as appropriate Business case preparation (eg new products, make vs buy, capital investment) Liaise with Geely Commercial Vehicles to determine optimum production strategy between China and the UK Cash flow and working capital (particularly stock) forecasting Present accurate and relevant financial information to Cost-Down Steering Group, Functional Reviews and ad-hoc meetings as required Experience to succeed Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience within manufacturing/automotive industry Business-partnering experience - able to collaborate and build relationships with various stakeholders across the business IT & Finance system experience with advanced Excel skills Experience within an OEM or Automotive setting preferred Excellent organisational and communication skills Methodical in approach to tasks and can prioritise accordingly Process-driven and attention to detail, as well as able to show flexibility and tenacity in problem-solving Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus What we can offer you Competitive salary 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays Life insurance, cycle to work scheme, and a salary sacrifice pension scheme Health and wellbeing support, including Medicash health care scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, available 24/7 365 days and network of mental health first aiders.
