Medical Staffing is delighted to offer a great opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Practitioner who wishes to develop their career within an exceptional primary care environment.

Key requirements:

  • Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients

  • Ability to follow care plans and treatment protocols
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a team setting
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for documentation purposes

A bit about the role:

  • You will be involved in providing a high level of safe and effective care.
  • To work independently in the Surgery and the Community, providing assessment, treatment and referral of patients with specified mental health problems and unexplained symptoms.
  • Keep detailed records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols on the GP record systems.
  • Review medication for therapeutic effectiveness appropriate to patient needs and in according with evidence based practice and national and practice protocols.
  • Adhere to all Trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
  • To liaise with and refer onto secondary mental health services, voluntary and public sectors agencies and community support groups.
