Real Care Support are currently recruiting for our home in Preston, Lancashire to work in a therapeutically led home for children aged 7-17 who have experienced childhood trauma and or neglect, possibly leading to Social & Emotional Behavioural challenges.

Our homes are large beautiful, detached houses, recently renovated to a high standard throughout.


Your job role will involve you working closely with children in care with you putting them at the centre of everything you do.

Your day to day role will require you to support them in all aspects of their lives such as educational pursuits, hobbies and activities.


You will be part of the Real Care Support Team and be supported in your day to day job role by a friendly and supportive management team.

We will supply you with extensive and relevant training to support you and ensure your career development. You will also be supported to achieve a formal qualification.


Real Care Support is a family based company that creates a "family environment" for the children we care for as well as for the employees who work for us, we are on our journey to develop and build a community that will give children the best opportunities to have and achieve positive aspirations.

What will I do as a Residential Support Worker?

  • Using your experience and skills further developed with our support and training, you will assist with the care of our children and young people.
  • All of our homes adopt therapeutic practice, giving you the opportunity to develop into a specialist care provider. Training also includes reflective practice to consistently improve the way we care for children.
  • You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
  • You will create timetables, setting boundaries and expectations for the young people. Consistency and organisation skills are key.
  • You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

Starting salary including sleeps is approx £28,000 per year:

  • 6-7 x sleeps per month paid in addition to basic above at £50 per sleep
  • Hours: 165 hours per month
  • We used structured pay grades, so salary is based on your training and experience so that you are always paid fairly.
