The Finance team are also at an exciting time in their journey, shaping what our team looks like for this future, ensuring we are adding the most value to the Society.

As part of this, we have created a new role and are looking for a Cost Planning Leader to join the Society to develop an in depth understanding of the income and cost base including cost & income drivers, productivity metrics and benefit realisation.

This includes leading the delivery of the cost elements of the Society's Forecasts and Corporate plans and providing challenge to cost centre budgets.


We're evolving what we do and how we do it and we've got an exciting new opportunity within the Financial Strategy and Business Partnering team.

We're looking for someone with vision, passion, drive and really strong leadership qualities to support the direction of the team.


Key Responsibilities- Lead the cost and other income elements of the Society's quarterly forecasts and corporate plan.- Provide support and challenge to cost centre owners to ensure that costs are managed prudently.- Lead month end cost reporting.- Ensure all of the Society's costs are applied accurately with postings to appropriate ledgers and cost centres.

Manage accruals process to ensure accurate accounting with strong communication with the Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting teams.- Understand departmental priorities and needs and lead the cost team to ensure these are met.- Work closely with all colleagues within and across teams to support delivery of departmental plans.- Ensure all identified threats and opportunities to income and expenses are tracked and managed.- Display Society values and behaviours always.- Continually review processes and delivery to ensure quality of services at all times.- Deliver excellent service to internal customers.- Actively manage your own and your team's development using appropriate learning and development tools.- Identify and champion continuous improvement within your area and across the business where appropriate.- Develop departmental policies that are kept up to date and in line with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
