Purpose:


To contribute to and support the development, creation and delivery of a varied, balanced, stimulating and inspiring programme of sports, activities, clubs and social events for children and young people (0-25 years) with additional needs and/or disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.


General Duties

The general duties that you will be expected to undertake in the role are as follows:

  • Contribute to and support the development of the POINT activity programme to give children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities the opportunities to learn new skills, develop existing skills, form friendships, and have fun.
  • Delivery of POINT activities programme including virtual and face-to-face sessions.
  • Contribute to and support effective monitoring and evaluation to ensure programme delivery engages children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in opportunities that are developmental, innovative and meaningful.
  • Contribute to and support the procurement and maintenance programme of all activity equipment.
  • Contribute to and support all Health and Safety related issues including risk assessments on activities and equipment.
  • Actively promoting the voice of the child/young person throughout the work with families.
  • To develop strong and positive relationships across a range of partner agencies to ensure that POINT is synonymous with friendly, effective and efficient service.
  • To work within the framework of Oldham's Parental and Young Co-production Values at all times.
  • To maintain a high degree of confidentiality and adhere to GDPR/Data Protection legislation.
  • Contribute to your own professional development and training and participate in formal staff reviews and appraisals.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Accountability:

  • To meet defined deadlines set by the organisation as agreed with your line manager.
  • Accurate recording of contacts, actions and outcomes using POINT's database systems.
  • Compliance with all POINT's policies including those related to Health and Safety, and Data Protection to protect your own and others' health, safety and welfare.
  • To act as an ambassador of POINT at all times, representing the ethos and service standards required in this role.
  • To undertake relevant training and self-development to ensure that relevant skills and competence is met, in line with POINT's competence framework.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to ensuring POINT succeeds in maintaining our organisational ethos of compassion and flexibility.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary:
From £12,355.00 per year
