About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, recognizing individual indicators of mental health and providing tailored support to promote independence and well-being.
  • Implement planned interventions, promoting healthy life choices and supporting residents with daily living skills.
  • Participate in a range of activities, including recovery and activity programs, to help residents develop essential skills for their recovery pathway.
  • Work collaboratively with Qualified Mental Health Nurses and the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements

  • Experience in health and social care, with a strong understanding of supporting individuals with mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, and participate in rotational night shifts.
