We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Birchwood, a CQC Registered Nursing Home in Lees, Oldham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop good working relationships with residents, recognising individual indicators of mental health and providing support to develop coping strategies.
  • Implement planned interventions, promoting independence and well-being, and supporting residents with daily living skills.
  • Participate in a range of activities, including recovery and activity programs, to help residents develop essential skills for their recovery pathway.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and a willingness to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Experience in health and social care is desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of supporting individuals with mental health needs and be able to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
