Positioned within the commercial team, you will be right in the centre of a fast paced team, working hand in hand with the buying team, building strong relationships with our biggest suppliers and working closely with all other functions across the Currys business to build, plan and execute the customer and commercial strategy and develop our business for future growth.
This exciting role within the commercial team reports to the Head of Category; you will be accountable for supporting the head of category developing the category strategy blue print for the category squad.
As a Senior Go to Market Manager you will need extensive experience of project and people management as you will be responsible for high turnover complex categories with a number of direct reports.
This role will act as a lynchpin between all functional representatives in the squad, pulling together annual, quarterly and in-season initiatives and activities to maximise performance.
They will also arm the category buyer to negotiate adequate supplier funding support.As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
Leading and developing the go to market team to maximise engagement in the company and its strategy and enables the team to deliver excellently
Creating the blueprint for the annual category strategy, helping define the guiderails for: target KPIs (CSAT, share, EBIT, stock), customer shopping journey, category proposition and the 'go to market' plan
Using insight, work with the buyer, planner, services and credit representatives to define annually the category 'proposition' - the best combination of range, price, availability, services and credit to maximise customer satisfaction, competitiveness and financial return
Working with the central planning and brand & marketing function to develop in line with the annual events calendar the 'Go to market' strategy and plan for the category
Supporting the squad in landing all major initiatives, including major new product launches, new merchandising solutions and changes to the customer journey online and in-store
Building close relationships with Key global brands and work with these suppliers and the buying team to agree and execute high value, funded initiatives in all channels
Develop capable and committed colleagues who are fully aware of the company vision and the role they play in delivering it.
You will need:
Strong influencing skills and ability to manage several different stakeholders, at all levels, to deliver plans
Excellent numerical and analytical skills to review data
Good facilitation and influencing skills
Advanced planning, organisational and multitasking skills

Experience of both the Electricals market and products.
