City Life Projects Ltd are recruiting for an enthusiastic Events Marketing Co-ordinator to join our team, to help us grow our events business.

Based at the Sir Thomas Hotel in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, we are looking for someone with marketing, social media and events experience and/or qualifications to help us promote events at both this location and our sister hotel, The Park Hotel in Netherton.

You will work as part of a team to ensure that both hotels' events are promoted and supported.

Job Role:

  • Research the local events market and competition to build a plan to grow our events business
  • Develop excellent relations with the hotel's clients, particularly the local corporate markets to grow our sector share
  • Pitch event ideas to the Board and plan and promote those authorised
  • Market our venue to appropriate audiences on all social media platforms
  • Conduct show rounds at the property to demonstrate the facilities to prospective clients and secure their booking
  • Liaise with clients over their private event requirements and ensure that all details are priced accurately and agreed up front
  • Prepare and send confirmations and contracts for corporate and social events
  • Ensuring planned social event details are clearly communicated with the Operational Teams in good time to set them up for dealing successfully with promoting events, handling customer enquiries and bookings
  • Ensure private event booking details are clearly communicated to the Operational Teams so that the client receives all expected services
  • Maximise revenue by upselling products eg. Menu and bar items and hotel services
  • Support the event in person where required or ensure a detailed handover to the Operational Team

Work Experience

  • Experience in marketing or events management would be advantageous. We are particularly interested in hearing from marketing or events management graduates who have completed at least a oneyear placement in the events or marketing industry. Demonstrable experience of promoting events on social media would also be desirable, as would knowledge of the Liverpool Events scene._

Person Specification

  • Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, curious and knowledgeable about the local events market
  • A strong team player who can ensure our operational teams are set up for success in promoting events and taking bookings
  • Positive with a cando attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proficient salesperson who can convert event enquiries into bookings

Job Types:

£10.42 per hour

Day range:

  • You will work flexibly over 5 days per week Monday to Sunday
  • Weekend availability required you will support some of the events you book in person
