Our client is looking for an experienced Revenues Operation Team Leader.

To support the Revenues Operation Manger to deliver an excellent, customer focused and inclusive front line Council Tax service.

To collaborate with the Revenues Operation Manager to deliver a prompt and efficient Council Tax service. This will include the responsibility for quality assurance, resource planning, discounts, exemptions to verify they are authentic. Where inappropriate awards or those obtained by deception are identified, take swift action to recover the debt.


To assist the Revenues Operation Manager to ensure all operational aspects of Council Tax are administered proficiently to protect the income of the council.

Knowledge
High level knowledge of Council Tax and Enforcement legislation
Knowledge of Valuation Tribunals
Knowledge of monitoring computerised workflow systems
Working knowledge of Health & Safety issues

Aptitude to;
Work effectively across service areas and engage with external organisations
Think laterally to develop creative and innovative solutions
Manage and coordinate resources
Interpret legislation and ensure procedures meet with legal guidelines
Work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
Plan and program work to ensure that Service Plan objectives are met
Support and have input into operational decisions in line with current and new policies and legislation

Skills:

Communicate effectively in a variety of settings both verbally and in writing
Proven high level of organisational skills
Proven high level of interpersonal skills
Excellent time management
