About the role

Key activities will include:

Review and process payments/income or journals onto the Insolvency Practitioners' case management system ("IPS").

  • Preparation of payment instructions onto IPS and with Banks or the Insolvency Services Account.
  • Acting with responsibility for your own cashiering caseload.
  • Monitoring insolvency estate bank accounts for incoming receipts.
  • Preparing, validating, and importing data onto the banking systems.
  • Filing of relevant supporting documents & invoices in the document management system and linking to the appropriate transaction.
  • Supporting Multi-Vendor Payment instructions on trading insolvencies.
  • Supporting trading sale reconciliations on trading insolvencies.
  • Liaising with engagement teams on all aspects of sales/purchase ledger queries within IPS.
  • Liaising with commercial banks and the Insolvency Services Account in relation to cashiering matters.
  • Preparing new bank mandates and changing existing mandates where required.
  • Opening and maintenance of bank accounts.
  • Daily banking.
  • Preparing regular reconciliations of bank accounts.
  • Updating the relevant IPS diaries where required.
  • Preparation of monthly bordereau for approval and upload to the portal
  • Review and validation of supplier/creditor bank details to prevent fraud and money laundering activities.
  • Adhering to internal policies and procedures whilst also being mindful of the relevant money laundering and insolvency legislation.
  • Covering other staff with cashiering responsibilities during sickness or annual leave.
