Interpath Advisory is looking for a Senior Financial Restructuring Associate to become a vital part of our Financial Restructuring & Special Situations Group ("SSG").

The SSG team provides comprehensive advisory services to Corporates, Lenders, Investors, and other stakeholders, particularly in high-stakes stressed and distressed scenarios. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by collaborating closely with clients to navigate intricate challenges in a dynamic environment. Our team supports clients throughout various phases, both domestically and internationally, across multiple service lines, including:

Core Services:

  • Lead financial advisory
  • Short-term liquidity and crisis cash management
  • Business plan evaluation and analysis
  • Independent Business Reviews (IBRs)
  • Options identification and assessment
  • Stakeholder stabilization and management
  • Contingency planning
  • Advisory on distressed asset mergers and acquisitions, including buy/sell-side due diligence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of intricate Financial Restructuring projects across diverse industries and sectors, both nationally and internationally.
  • Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including leading negotiations and engaging with key stakeholders such as management teams, lenders, and shareholders.
  • Assist the team in identifying and cultivating business opportunities, including the preparation and presentation of pitches and marketing materials.
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with existing and prospective work providers (lenders, multipliers, shareholders) to develop business opportunities for the firm.
  • Ensure risks and issues are effectively managed, escalating concerns as necessary.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Associate position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a credit-focused role (such as Restructuring Services, Investment Banking, or Credit Analysis).
  • Experience in delivering Financial Restructuring mandates, including both creditor and company-side engagements.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, taking charge of overall project delivery and delegating tasks as needed to meet tight deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholder relationships, including senior management teams and lenders.
  • Possession of a relevant qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent). Insolvency qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of the market landscape and current developments.
