We are recruiting for a Night Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a small care home setting based in Erdington, Birmingham on a permanent full time basis.

This home specialises in supporting adults with; Dementia, Autism, Epilepsy, Mental Health and other complex needs. Therefore experience working with similar service users would be an advantage.

Must hold a minimum of Health & Social Care Level 2

Must have experience of administering Medications

Must have experience leading a team

You will be working a set rota:

Night shift: 20:00 to 08:00

Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 3:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 4:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

To be considered for the role you must be able to work the above rota

Must be able to get to Erdington, Birmingham

Daily Tasks:

  • Encourage and lead the team throughout the night shift
  • Administer Medication
  • Maintaining a Health & safety is followed throughout the home.
  • Encouraging and promoting independence for all residents.
  • Carrying out regular checks on residents and maintaining their safety around the home and in their personal rooms.
  • Provide personal care dependent on client's needs.
  • Assist at mealtimes, this may be feeding or preparing light snacks.
  • Safely and correctly use manual handling equipment for those residents who require assistance.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork; daily charts, wash charts, meal charts.
  • Most importantly build a bond and become lifelong friends with residents and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Senior Care Experience (Essential)
  • Health & Social Care Level 2 [Minimum qualification]
  • Medication administration experience [Essential]
  • Team leading [Essential]
  • Have been trained and confidently can use manual handling equipment (Essential)
  • Good level of English both verbal and written (Essential)
  • Positive work attitude (Essential)
  • Provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK (Essential)
