About the role:


Reporting to the Operations manager this role will be a key part of the operations team,responsible for the procurement and buying of all site materials plant and equipment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in a fast paced environment where you will be working to meet deadlines and continually adding value to the process.

The role demands excellent time management skills and the ability and willingness to multitask.

You will be tasked with sourcing and developing a wide range of suppliers to assist in the effective delivery of the pipeline of work.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Expert negotiator
  • Identifying and delivering cost saving and value creation opportunities through negotiations, resourcing, benchmarking
  • Negotiate contract terms (e.g., pricing, promotional support, exclusivity, etc.) with the suppliers to achieve optimum commercial benefit.
  • Knowledge or experience in electrical products
  • Creating and sending purchase orders
  • Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new projects
  • Knowledge of domestic and international supply chains and logistics
  • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
  • Work with the design team to ensure procurement is in line with the project specification
  • Understanding of costs/margins
  • Lead & implement cost reduction & value creation initiatives, ensuring performance
  • Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times with the supplier
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Ensure that deliveries are communicated with all concerned parties
  • Client, installers project managers etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint
  • Understanding workflow processes of all areas in Operations
  • Finding and comparing subcontractor quotes for scaffolding and labour for different jobs
  • Subcontractor vetting and onboarding process
  • Ensuring that all required subcontractor information is received, correct and complete
  • Ensuring that project files and O&M documentation is kept up to date and accurate
  • Keeping up to date and informed on the latest products and technologies
