Welders and Fabricators required for project in Rosyth.

  • Follow standard operating procedures in the safe set up and operation of welding plant.
  • Carry out welding tasks in accordance with the essential variables.
  • Visual inspection of completed welds to contract acceptance standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain welding plant functionality.
  • Carry out daily machine checks, ensuring that any fault is reported immediately.
  • Continually improve processes where required.
  • Safely set up and remove any preheating equipment.
  • Use of digital and thermal temperature recording devices
  • Control of welding consumables tiles in production environments.

The Welder role covers but is not limited to:

  • SMAW process
  • GSFCAW process
  • GTAW process
  • SAW process.
  • Arc Air Gouging
  • Grinding/Burning
  • Basic Visual Inspection
  • Control of welding consumables

What you'll need to join us are:

  • Arc Air Gouging, grinding, and burning.
  • Previous experience of working with tooling maintenance technical instructions
  • Previous experience of working with & IAW welding procedures, and acceptance standards.
  • Working within the heavy engineering/marine defence industry would be advantageous.
  • Basic visual inspection and control of welding consumable knowledge
  • Weld defects and causes.
  • Utilising work to risk, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
  • You will demonstrate previous welding experience, including significant experience of SMAW, GSFCAW, GTAW and SAW welding processes and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • You will hold a recognised Welding Apprenticeship to N/SVQ Level 3 as a minimum.
Long term work available.

37 hours per week + overtime available.
