About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at our Rosyth site, supporting the Successor submarine project. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in manufacturing 22 tactical missile tube assemblies, utilizing your technical skills and safe working attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and welding-related tasks in a production environment, following standard operating procedures and essential variables.
  • Visual inspection of completed welds to contract acceptance standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain welding plant functionality and perform daily machine checks.
  • Continually improve processes where required and safely set up and remove pre-heating equipment.
  • Use digital and thermal temperature recording devices and control welding consumables in production environments.

Requirements

  • Indentured Welder qualification.
  • Understanding of weld defects and causes.
  • Experience with pulsed MIG or MIG and TIG.
  • WPS Adherence and Indentured Welder qualification.

Security Clearance

This position is subject to national security vetting. The successful candidate will be a Sole UK National, who holds or is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.
