Your new company

A International distribution company, looking for a new Head of Business Intelligence, who can use SQL/Qlik skills to improve the business across by data management and scripting along with leading the BI team and reporting to the Finance FD.

Your new role

To drive the implementation of the Group Business Intelligence Strategy of providing an insightful and accessible single source of truth on Financial and Operational performance, across the business activities and reporting channels.

The role will include variouselements of the Business Intelligence Process including:

  • Liaising the key stakeholders in the business to understand the information and data requirements and developing the BI reports to facilitate this
  • Scripting the Qlik Sense data loads to manipulate data and create measures required for KPIs
  • Developing Qlik Sense Apps and Reports
  • Working with the IT team to shape the requirements of the data warehouse
  • Implementing a best practice approach including documentation and scalable processes
  • Provide training and documentation to enhance self service and user engagement
  • Management of the BI team
  • Administrative management of the Qlik Sense BI tool
What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience of implementing and developing BI tools and dashboards (Ideally Qlik Sense)
  • Strong data management, scripting (Qlik / SQL), and data warehouse knowledge
  • Confident communicator able to understand key requirements and translate into meaningful reports
  • Agile approach to projects and open to new ideas
  • Ability to understand financial and operational processes
  • Experience of leading and managing a team (project and day to day)
