Job Title: Product Marketing Manager - Construction Industry

Job Summary: We are seeking a driven and commercial Product Manager with a construction, building materials, or manufacturing background to join our marketing team. This person will develop and drive the strategic direction and revenue growth from our portfolio of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Requirements: Be a subject matter expert in customer requirements, define new opportunities, and create a plan for delivery.
  • Customer Network: Build a network of engaged customers, utilise their businesses for market intelligence and insights.
  • Customer Segmentation: Segment customer types and analyse job outcomes, use the data to plan the product strategy to align business goals.
  • Business Values: Maintain business values and commercial strategy, develop the portfolio proposition to drive revenue.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: End-to-end management of the product lifecycle management.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Devise robust go-to-market strategy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across the marketing team and wider business units to deliver exceptional product marketing.
  • Campaign Evaluation: Review and evaluate campaigns to continuously improve performance.
  • KPIs: Set KPIs for the marketing team, inspiring the team to keep delivering against metrics.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance to UK & EU standards for all packaging regulations.
  • Pricing: Research pricing to meet margin aspirations.
  • Team Support: Support the team in delivering all literature, leaflets, presentations, compliance documents, and digital brochures.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor three direct reports.

Requirements:

  • CIM Qualified: CIM qualified or equivalent.
  • Team Management: Experience in successfully managing and mentoring a team.
  • Sector Experience: Sector experience in building materials, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Revenue Growth: Track record in delivering revenue growth and improved profitability across a product category.
  • Influencing Stakeholders: Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Analytical Mindset: Natural analytical and commercial mindset.
  • Financial Literacy: Financially literate, having held budgets previously.
  • New Product Launch: Demonstrable experience in bringing new products to market.
