This new role will support the university's innovative employability strategy, enabling the B-Enterprising team to deliver entrepreneurial experiences that allow our students to explore their futures beyond university life

Others use this time to come up with ideas about what they want to do, others explore shaping their own future by using the time to start their own business.

The role is based in our Careers Network department where our philosophy is focus on enhancing our student's graduate employability through a wide-ranging service provision.


Careers Network


This role is located within the Careers Network team, which exists to help students and graduates realise the potential of their University of Birmingham experience and degree, helping them to positively shape the world around them.

The team comprises circa 60 staff, across several specialist areas, supporting employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurship within and beyond the curriculum, while engaging with employers, alumni, and external partners to support this endeavour.


Role Summary
Part of Careers Network, The B-Enterprising team is dedicated to supporting student enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Through targeted interventions, within and alongside the curriculum, students are supported to enhance their skills in line with UoB Graduate Attributes, following clear pathways to start their own ventures.

The B-Enterprise team help students explore the value of being entrepreneurial, delivering different programmes, events and support services.

The Programme and Events Assistant supports the B-Enterprising Programme Manager to deliver all of the B-Enterprising activity across the entire student experience.
