The rolenChief of Staff, Business Management is responsible for providing broad, proactive strategic and operational support to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to maximise the effectiveness and impact of the CSO and the C&S Leadership Team.


This role will:

nSupport the CSO in communicating the high-level strategic vision and aspirations of C&S.nProvide guidance to the CSO on emerging organisational issues, proposing mitigation or remediation actions, to resolve in a timely manner.nDesign and manage the flow of regular management reporting to CSO and C&S and supporting the CSO in managing C&S agendas.nManage any significant projects sponsored by the CSO or C&S Leadership Team if required.nIdentify opportunities for improved efficiencies from more coordinated and streamlined cross-organisational processes.nCoordinate across the business to manage a planful and strategic medium term forward calendar for the CSO in relation to internal and external engagement globally.nCoordinate and help prioritise the CSO's engagement with key executives across the business, including business unit heads and other senior leaders.nAct as a key interface between C&S, Operations, Finance, Business Transformation, People and Culture and Investment Teams, ensuring their integration to support C&S in driving efficiency in the pursuit of our goals.nEnsure the CSO is fully and appropriately briefed for all internal and external meetings.nIn partnership with Chief Marketing, Brand and Communications Officer, develop and deliver an internal and external communications strategy for the CSO to ensure seamless and effective communications internally and external with clients, prospects, conferences, social media, etc.


Your Background and ExperiencenIdeally 10+ years' demonstrable and directly relevant and relatable experience within funds management or financial services.nAble to demonstrate significant previous experience in managing senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes, including the ability to effectively influence and challenge.nDemonstrated ability to operate in a complex global business, working across and appropriately influencing matrix teams.nExperience of interpreting management financial and business reports.nTertiary educated with a degree in a relevant discipline, or comparable experience.nStrong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial metrics and key performance drivers.nHigh degree of organisational awareness, understanding of where to engage to efficiently manage issues.nStrong leadership and change management skills.nStrong communication capability and experiencenExcellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the confidence and credibility to act quickly.nAbility to deal with significant ambiguity and constantly changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.nHighly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.nAbility to interpret and understanding key messages from varied audiences.nExcellent project management skills.nAligned to IFM Investors Values.
