Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Apprenticeships Norfolk team as an Apprenticeship Officer.

The post is a fixed term position to cover a maternity absence until 3 rd January 2024.


We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about supporting employers and individuals in Norfolk start their Apprenticeship journey If you are dedicated to offering highly responsive customer service and enthusiastic to work in a proactive team, we would love to hear from you.

You will have experience working on employer-responsive initiatives and have a good knowledge of approaches to raise awareness/understanding of apprenticeships.

You will be a good communicator, have excellent attention to detail and a broad range of digital skills, including creative social media skills.


You will:

  • Write, collate and distribute newsletters, articles, good news stories and case studies to the Apprenticeships Norfolk website and social media platforms, promoting apprenticeships and driving traffic to the Apprenticeships Norfolk website/team.
  • Collect, check and collate information about apprenticeships vacancies in Norfolk and disseminate to various stakeholders on a weekly basis and collating relevant data trends. Design and upload vacancies to the Apprenticeships Norfolk social media.
  • Support the delivery of externally funded projects and initiatives that contribute to the overall delivery of the NCC Apprenticeships strategy.
  • Support awareness raising and promotion of apprenticeships through a range of activity including marketing campaigns, social media, and through relevant groups


Working in a flexible way is a key feature of this role, with the opportunity to enjoy a blended approach - working from home and also from the office at County Hall.

Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.

There will be the requirement to work to be undertaken flexibly at times and in various locations across Norfolk, which may not be on a public transport route.
