Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers within the home environment.
  • Monitoring service user's conditions and reporting any changes to the management team.
  • Assisting with meal preparation.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for service users. When directed, maintain cleanliness of service user's home, to meet with health and safety requirements.

Other task may include but not limited to:

  • Light fires or operate other sources of warmth.
  • Ensuring good quality of life by using home facilities are available to do the laundry, wash the dishes etc.
  • Undertake essential shopping when required.
  • Administer and record medications.
  • Assist with the collection of medicines from the pharmacy when required.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
