BESA, the British Educational Suppliers Association, is a prestigious trade association with a 90-year heritage, representing over 300 UK educational suppliers. BESA offers unparalleled support, research, events, and advice, both in the UK and internationally. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in membership/subscription and education.

Location: Shoreditch, London (Flexible working - minimum 2 days per week in office)

Salary: £32, ,000 base & commission

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, Mon-Fri)

About the Role:

As the Membership Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving membership growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Membership Manager to expand BESA's membership base.
  • Connecting with prospective members through meetings, calls, and events.
  • Supporting membership growth initiatives and communicating the membership offer.
  • Developing new areas of income diversification, such as new membership categories.
  • Managing the membership application process and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective members.
  • Monitoring the membership inbox and responding promptly to leads.
  • Developing and executing the Marketing Recruitment Plan.
  • Conducting regular market mapping and competitor analysis.
  • Leading the BESA Open Day recruitment event.
  • Attending UK and international events for member recruitment.

Requirements:

  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in recruitment, B2B sales/account management in the education sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Ability to meet targets and KPIs, and willingness to travel for events.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 5 (C) or above; A-level education or equivalent is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and LinkedIn sales.
